We receive a photograph. We prepare it, retouch it by hand, compose it within a defined field, and print it onto textured denim canvas. Then we sew.
This is not a photo laid on fabric. It is an artwork composed, piece by piece, for one person.
The canvas
We chose denim because it ages well, because it has grain, and because it gives a portrait a ground unlike anything else in personalised cushions.
The denim stays visible around the artwork. That is deliberate — it is the Melo signature.
